A gift to you, the reader

The story of my baptism was one I originally intended to include in Bagua, but it never found a natural home within its narrative. Some stories are worth telling even when they don’t fit neatly between chapters, though, so for those who’ve followed my journey this far, I’m making it available here. It gives a fuller account of why I took more than six years to be baptised, what finally brought me to the water, and the unexpected thing that happened when I stepped out.
